The three parts of the cost
There’s usually a one-time setup fee for designing and building the system, a monthly fee for running and improving it, and the software itself: your CRM, an automation platform, texting and SI usage. Software is often modest; much of it you may already pay for.
Typical ranges
For a single automation such as a chatbot or lead follow-up, setup commonly runs from a little over a thousand dollars to a few thousand, with monthly management in the hundreds. Multi-system builds that touch the CRM, booking and invoicing cost more. Our own prices are on the pricing page.
How to judge the return
Multiply the hours an automation saves each month by what those hours cost you, then add the revenue from the extra leads and bookings fast responses win. If the total doesn’t comfortably exceed the monthly fee within the first quarter, the project is the wrong one to start with.
Why retainers instead of one-off builds
Automations drift. Software updates, your services change, and SI answers need tuning as new questions arrive. A retainer pays someone to watch and fix that, which is cheaper than rebuilding after something quietly breaks.
